Charles R. Zeh, Esq.

Charles R. Zeh, Esq., is the managing member of The Law Offices of Charles R. Zeh, Esq.  He practices primarily in the areas of administrative law (Boards and Commissions), commercial litigation, tribal law, housing, real estate, (commercial and residential), small to medium start-up businesses and employment law.


Mr. Zeh has substantial expertise in employment law matters.  He also practices in the area of administrative law.  Until recently, Mr. Zeh was legal counsel to the Board for the Administration of the Subsequent Injury Account for Self-insured Employers and the Board for the Administration of the Subsequent Injury Account for the Association of Self-insured Public or Private Employers.  This gave him the opportunity to appear on behalf of these State Boards before the Nevada Supreme Court and the State District Courts in Carson City, Reno and Las Vegas when defending the Boards' decisions.  There, Mr. Zeh was successful in the State Courts in 14 out of 15 cases.  As for the 15 case, he succeeded on appeal before the Nevada Supreme Court.  See, Bd. for Admin. of Subsequent Injury Account for Self-Insured Employers v. Las Vegas Metro. Police Dep't, 129 Nev. 1097 (2013). 


Mr. Zeh has also had success in Federal Court. He defended the Housing Authority of the City of Reno in a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) case. See, Roces v. Reno Hous. Auth., 300 F.Supp.3d 1172 (D. Nev. 2018), appeal dismissed, No. 18-15525, 2018 WL 5754808 (9th Cir. Sept. 25, 2018). In addition, he succeeded in defending his Tribal Clients when sued in Federal Court both at the District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. See, High Desert Recreation, Inc. v. Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe of Indians, 341 F. App'x 325 (9 Cir. 2009). See th also, Boney v. Valline, 597 F.Supp.2d 1167 (D. Nev. 2009); Lantry v. McMinn, No. 3:08-CV-638-RCJ-VPC, 2010 WL 11629661 (D. Nev. Mar. 4, 2010); Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe v. City of Fallon, 174 F.Supp.2d 1088, 2001 WL 1456017 (D. Nev., August 23, 2001). 


He currently is counsel to the State of Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration Board of Review which hears complaints concerning occupational safety and health violations. His representation of the Board of Review, the Workers' Compensation Boards and the Housing Authority have given him a profound understanding of Nevada’s Open Meeting Law (OML). 


Mr. Zeh is active in civic affairs, having chaired several boards and commissions including Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Reno YMCA, the Board of Managers for the Reno YMCA, the City of Reno Planing Commission, the Regional Planning Commission, and the Washoe Association for Retarded Citizens. Mr. Zeh also assisted in the foundation of the Committee to Aid Abused Women (CAAW). 


During the portion of his career as a public services attorney, Mr. Zeh was the Executive Director of the Washoe County Legal Society (Washoe Legal Services) for 12 years. During his time at Washoe Legal Service, he brought suit which extensively reformed the Nevada Prison System. See, Craig v. Hocker, 405 F.Supp. 656 (D. Nev. 1975). He also brought litigation which integrated the City of Reno Fire Department to include minorities and women. See, Willie Washington v. City of Reno, Case No. CV-N-78-0051, U.S. District Court, District of Nevada.


He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Cornell University School of Law. Mr. Zeh is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in the States of Nevada and Minnesota, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court, and has successfully argued cases before the State and Federal District Courts, the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  

Pete Cladianos III, Esq.

Pete Cladianos III, Esq., came to law as a second career after serving as a manager and executive in the gaming and lodging industries.  His involvement with The Sands Regent Hotel and Casino dates back for more than 20 years.  Mr. Cladianos started in the position of Internal Auditor, there, and then worked his way through the positions of Cage and Vault Manager to Sales Director and eventually to being an Executive Vice President.  He also created and operated a slot route gaming business, placing slot machines in various locations in the Region. 


Community involvement was a necessary part of holding management positions in the Gaming and Lodging industries.  While working for the Sands, Mr. Cladianos was a member of the Citizen's Advisory Committee for Downtown Redevelopment and the Citizen's Advisory Committee to the Master Plan.  He served as Chairman to the Citizen's Advisory Committee for Downtown Redevelopment in his final year on that committee.  In addition to this involvement, Mr. Cladianos was active in many of the efforts of the efforts of the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) to promote the community


In the late 1990s, Mr. Cladianos left casino management to attend McGeorge School of Law.  The years in management and community development taught him that a legal education was critical in our complex society. Problem solving in the modern business environment often depends upon understanding and applying the law.  Mr. Cladianos works in commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters, probate and trust administration, estate planning, business litigation and business entity creation and planning.  Further, works with the firm’s multiple administrative clients.
